What is a Land Trust?

Land Trusts are community-based non-profit, charitable organizations that secure lands and waters for the benefit of current and future generations. Land Trusts rely on community support through volunteers, memberships, and donations.

Why do we need a Land Trust?

The quality of life of our children and future generations is dependent upon a healthy environment. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that we leave our lands and waters better and healthier for the generations to come.

Where are we located?

We are located at Walpole Island First Nation, Bkejwanong Unceded Territory. This freshwater delta is a biodiversity hotspot nestled in the heart of the Great Lakes.
